Career Opportunities in Integrative Psychotherapy: Free Introduction
Start a new career in Integrative Psychotherapy
"What does it mean to be a Professional Practitioner of Integrative Psychotherapy?"
Now, that's what you can call job satisfaction!
We train our students to become experts in clinical hypnotherapy with a thorough understanding of psychotherapy and counselling skills, enabling them to achieve high success rates with clients who consult them for a wide range of issues , many of which have been proven by evidence-based research to benefit from hypnotherapy: phobias, IBS and digestive disorders, smoking and negative habits, weight, pain, stress, insomnia, type 2 diabetes, skin problems and hair loss, high BP, immune system disorders, and many more. Hypnotherapy is used not only for treating problems and difficulties but also for performance enhancement and accelerated learning. You’ll hardly find a world-class sports person who doesn’t have a hypnotherapist or sports psychologist who uses hypnotherapy techniques in their coaching.
To be a hypnotherapist is also to have a career for as long as you want it - there are no age limits - and to work either full or part-time as you choose. Also, you can choose your work hours to suit your lifestyle, so you can fit your new hypnotherapy career around other commitments. You can choose to be a general practitioner or to specialise in particular areas. You can also work on a full-time or part-time basis to suit your lifestyle and other commitments.
No Previous Experience Necessary.
Our training programmes have been professionally designed and written by successful hypnotherapists in well-established practices in the UK and Middle East. They provide a thorough and sound knowledge of the principles and applications of ethical clinical hypnosis and hypnotherapy, even if you have no previous experience of the field. Whilst short Foundation courses provide an introductory overview and ‘taster’ of the subject, the modular Professional Practitioner Diploma provides a thorough training that will prepare you to start a new career as a fully qualified hypnotherapist. A properly-trained hypnotherapist is able to use the talk-based skills of psychotherapy and counselling in combination with clinical hypnotherapy, the only psychological therapy that harnesses the power of the subconscious mind to effect rapid positive change in the ‘programming’ of the individual.
You will learn about the different personality types and how to tailor the therapy to the needs of individual clients, whether this requires simple suggestion work or the more advanced techniques of regression and memory recovery, ‘Parts’ therapy, Gestalt ‘Inner Child’ work and some techniques adapted from Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP).
We work to UK quality standards and the Diploma is awarded by EICH (the Essex Institute of Clinical Hypnotherapy) which is one of the longest established and most highly regarded training institutes in the UK. Our graduates are eligible for membership of a number of professional bodies, including:
- The Hypnotherapy Association
- The National Council of Psychotherapists
- The Association for Professional Hypnosis & Psychotherapy
- The National Register of Psychotherapists and Counsellors
- The National Council for Hypnotherapy (via the Individual Portfolio route)
Graduates will also be eligible for registration with the British National Register of Advanced Hypnotherapists and will receive full membership after two years, provided they attend 15 hours of CPD (Continuing Professional Development) annually. This particular register only allows membership by those who have completed a study course of above-average quality.
Most importantly, our graduates are eligible for registration with the Natural and Complementary Healthcare Council (NCHC), the body established by the UK government to regulate the standards of training for therapists, including hypnotherapists. Only those practitioners who have completed courses accredited by an official Verification Authority are entitled to be registered with NCHC. The Diploma not only meets but greatly exceeds the requirements for accreditation. The UK National Health Service (NHS) and Private Healthcare Insurance Providers (such as BUPA) only recognise practitioners who are NCHC registered.
Students on the Diploma course receive complimentary Associate Membership of the Association for Professional Hypnosis & Psychotherapy (APHP) whilst they are on the course, receiving the Journal and other useful information from this prestigious professional body. The Course Leader is the founder of the Middle East branch of APHP, providing a support network and opportunities for continuing professional development for therapists practising in the region.
Graduates who wish to gain advanced skills and professional training in psychotherapy will be eligible to progress to a second year of study on the Advanced Diploma in Hypnotherapy, Psychotherapy and Counselling. This second year of advanced training provides a sound training in a range of psychotherapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and completion entitles graduates to legally style themselves as Psychotherapists and Counsellors and to fast-track to full Membership of APHP in one year instead of two, and also full Membership of the National Register of Psychotherapists and Counsellors. We accept some applicants who have completed their initial hypnotherapy training with another reputable training provider and have gained experience as a professional hypnotherapist. We interview every applicant personally for each of the courses.
