Smoking Cessation Master Class
Fri 16th March 2018 Smoking Cessation Masterclass
This course is open to therapists, health professionals, coaches, and educators, with an appropriate background and interest.
Smoking is the leading cause of preventable death, with six people dying each minute from smoking-related illnesses.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), one-third (approximately 1.3 billion) of the world’s population smokes. This equates to more than 15 billion cigarettes smoked worldwide every day. It’s a very big business for tobacco manufacturers and brings in vast amounts of revenue to governments from tax income whilst at the same time representing a huge drain on the health services and immeasurable cost in human suffering!
It’s not surprising then, that smoking cessation is one of the most-requested forms of therapy and because of the many years of evidence-based research that hypnotherapy is THE most successful of all the various methods of stopping smoking, any hypnotherapist will enhance their practice and their income by doing a good job of supporting clients to quit the habit quickly and easily, and generally with long-lasting results. The techniques taught on this course combine hypnotherapy with NLP, CBT, and Meridian Therapy. This approach was developed by Dr Leila Edwards in her successful Harley Street practice. Participants who have not completed the International Diploma will also receive the award winning Hypnosense 'Easy Quit Smoking' manual.
This course is designed to provide a comprehensive set of materials to enable the practising hypnotherapist, and those who conduct smoking cessation sessions, to enhance their knowledge and skills. It gives an overview of several of the most successful approaches that have been used over many years with excellent results. You will also have the opportunity to learn about the main different methods and how complementary techniques can be used in combination with hypnotherapy so that the therapy can be tailored to your individual clients’ needs.
